Scholarship Recipients for 2023:
Congratulations to Wyatt Hooper, Uniontown, University of Louisville; Robert Kelley, Middlesboro, University of Kentucky; Sierra Nicole Stewart, Lexington, University of Kentucky; and Cole Wyatt, Benton, University of Louisville for being selected this year’s Coca-Cola college scholarship winners. In partnership with the Kentucky Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), Coca-Cola has awarded these four students with $5,219.50 in scholarships to assist with tuition, fees, room and board, books and assistive technology. To qualify, students must have an Individualized Plan for Employment with OVR, maintain at least a 2.75 GPA, be enrolled full time at an accredited college or technical program, submit reference letters and a 500-word essay, and provide confirmation of legal blindness.

Four (4) $5,200 merit scholarships will be awarded to OVR consumers who are legally blind. The submission deadline is May 31st.
Criteria to Apply
All applicants must:
Be a current consumer of the KY Office of Vocational Rehabilitation with an Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE).
Provide proof of legal blindness through verification of an eye exam within the past year OR complete the Confirmation of Legal Blindness form.
Provide the most recent transcript showing cumulative GPA of at least 2.75. This does not have to be an official transcript.
Provide a copy of a class schedule for Fall 2023 OR if not yet registered for classes, an acceptance letter, from an accredited college or technical program for Fall 2023.
Submit two letters of recommendation from non-family members, written within the last six months, preferably from educators such as teachers, guidance counselors or employers.
Complete the application.
- Submit an original, 500-word essay on one of the topics listed on the application.
