Industrial Truck Operator/Forklift Operator

​Program Goal

This program combines academic knowledge with practical skills with an emphasis on hands-on learning.  This program prepares students to safely operate industrial ​trucks (forklifts) in a variety of industrial, factory, and warehousing opportunities.

The Industrial Truck Operator training program can be utilized as a stand-alone program or can be incorporated with another Perkins Center program, typically Logistics. Industrial Truck Operator/Forklift Operator​​

Admission Qualifications

The Perkins Center may serve a student of any age, as long as the student reaches an employable age by the time the program of service is completed.

Length of Course

The Industrial Truck Operator program consists of classroom preparation and a minimum of 200 hours of practical hands-on training.  Students are expected to participate in a concluding, industry-recognized post-test.
